When that burned down, some of the members resolved to build the Moose Lodge that stands today. The lodge opened in 1940 in a different building. The building offers wheelchair access and an elevator. They are all considered member-benefit organizations and their main purpose is fraternal, not charitable. The top floor houses the largest event space, with a ballroom-style stage and dance floor, as well as catering facilities and a very cool woodsy bar. All subordinate entities of Moose International including Moose Associations, Moose Legions, Moose Lodges and Chapters are also classified as 501 (c) (8) tax-exempt organizations under the Internal Revenue Code. The second floor features a gym, bar and restaurant, kitchen, and yet another dance floor. On the main floor, you’ll find a restaurant, bar, and dance floor with a stage, along with offices. ![]() There are also multiple pool tables, parking, and, naturally, a fireplace with a moose head.
